March 23, 2010

 The CSPN presented an information session at Xavier University's Cintas Center in conjunction with the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament. The evening included networking, a formal discussion on women in sports led by Dr. Joni B. Comstock, the NCAA Senior Vice President of Championships, and the viewing of the second round game of the 2010 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament featuring Xavier University's own Women's Basketball team.

September 15, 2010

The CSPN proudly announced 'Inside the Business of Professional Baseball' program in partnership with the Cincinnati Reds and Greater Cincinnati Sports Corporation. The event was held 6-7pm in the Crosley Room of Great American Ballpark, followed by a Cincinnati Reds game. Guest Speaker, Phil Castellini, spoke and answered questions regarding the business of professional baseball. Additionally, the Cincinnati Enquirer's new Sports Editor, Barry Forbis, was on-hand for a formal introduction

Harnessing Social Media in Cincinnati Sports. CSPN presented a networking and information session that inlcued a panel discussion moderated by former ESPN reporter and current Game Day Communications president Betsy Ross. Discussion inlcuded panel participants' use of social media to engage the public with their causes and how it's changed the ways they look at marketing themselves and their teams.

Tackling the Whole Athlete: Sports Nutrition and Strength and Conditioning Techniques for the High School or Collegiate Athlete with Dave Andrews, Head Olympic Strength and Conditioning Coach and included a tour of University of Cincinnati new strength training facility.

The first CSPN quarterly educational event was “Back to School: Meet the Deans of Local College Athletics,” hosted at Paul Brown Stadium. Topics discussed included the state of college athletics, what the future looks like for each university, and other topics related to running a successful athletics program. The panel included the region’s college athletic directors:

Sport & Sponsorship was the educational theme at McFadden’s downtown.  The speakers included:
